We Make Learning Fun, and Children have fun learning.

Welcome

Welcome to the Good Shepherd's Preschool & Childcare of Peoria Illinois. We're a Childcare with a preschool curriculum.  The Good Shepherd's Preschool & Childcare was previously located in Washington State. With two (2) locations the Childcare facility  has provided quality childcare services to children & families in Seattle WA since 1994. That's 25 years of quality service. We believe parents are a child's primary teacher, so we strive to build partnerships with parents and together we watch children learn and grow.

Who We Are

The Good Shepherd's Preschool & Childcare is a multi-cultural, Christian-based program that strives to create a child-centered learning environment where every child receives love, respect, and acceptance. Our curriculum promotes social, academic, and physical development of children. We balance teacher-guided & child-initiated activities that inspire creativity in children. We instill in our students the tools needed for advancement in kindergarten and success in life. "We make learning fun and children have fun learning."

Meet Our Director

Director Anita M. Hall-Wilkins

She is better known as “Ms. Anita” by the children. Twenty-five years ago when Ms. Anita paired her background in elementary and early childhood education with her passion and love for children, and ministry, the Good Shepherd's Childcare was started. Over the years, Ms. Anita has had the privilege of teaching and caring for innumerable children. She has been in the early childhood education field long enough to see many of her students grow up and become successful adults. Ms. Anita received her first early childhood education certificate in 1974, at the young age of just fourteen. She believes educating children is the most rewarding work there is. She plans to continue in the field and says that she has “enjoyed many years of fun learning, and laughter with children.”
